Our primary objective was to design a restaurant with simply timeless yet comfortable atmosphere that feels both contemporary and classic. This approach was born out of a active collaboration with the client and our core value.

The entire depth of the new store is made visible through a large storefront opening, allowing its design to shine and occupy center stage. The blue branding’s color is embedded consistently throughout the space. The preference of furnishings for the space is around of solid oak while the open kitchenette consists of white ceramic tile and electro polished stainless steel. The warmth of oak wood appears as a complementary the cold bold color scheme.

The open kitchen providing a view through a large counter-height window to positioning cooking stations next to the dining tables so that patrons can freely interact with the chef. It makes the space appear more relaxed and inviting, and in thus doing blurs the division between spaces for cooking and dining.

We have proposed an artwork and preserved it on the east wall. The dominant, blue color scheme works as the background of the illustration, allowing the true subject (floating dim sum warriors) to really come into its own. Coupled with the regional inspired ornaments mounted onto the ceiling, we develop a space with identity, punctuated component in a capacity that undoubtedly stands out.

The clean aesthetic that was proposed for the environment, results in a contemplative, calm space without many visual interferences. The entire project was designed based on the functionality necessary for activities to be carried out quickly within the space.
